"We were ONE short of the magic 100 competitors - you know who you
are!!!!" was the original headline on this page and it was accurate!
We WERE one short of the magic 100 but not anymore!
Abigail Macleod knew who she was and that she had done all three races
but was not listed! The results have now been updated and we now have
a fantastic 100 runners who completed all three
races in the series - well done to each and every one of you!
Peigi McKellar, Catriona Mackay, Campbell
MacDonald, Robert Jones, Calum Smith, Eilidh
Mackenzie, Andrew Mackenzie, Jane Miller and
Coinneach Morrison all won their three race.
The U9 and U11 boys category was
dominated by an amazing battle of the brothers - Stuart and Campbell MacDonald
(Tolsta) and Angus and Alan Murray (Melbost). Stuart tied for first place
with Angus in the U9 category while Campbell beat Alan in the U11 category.
Clan MacDonald beat Clan Murray on points!
Tolsta Primary must take pride of
place when it comes to overall school performance - with a school roll
of only 43 pupils they managed three individual first places, one team
win, one team third place and 17 of their pupils completed all three races!
It was good to see schools from outside
the town area being rewarded for their travels - Sir E Scott and Lionel
both making the winners podium (or should that be bale of hay!). Not only
did Sir E Scott do well but their coach Coinneach Morrison won the Senior
Male category. Jamie Sulliven (3rd) and Jane Miller (Senior Lady champion)
made it a family and school double for Bragar Primary.
