Water of Leith Half Marathon (3.12.2005)
The Water of Leith Half Marathon was borne out of the heart felt yearning’s of HEB 3 runners not getting a Hebridean race fix from July till May! Thus SRAC’s Jim Bruce and HEB3 running pals put together the Water of Leith - thus so many familiar faces!
The handicapped half marathon took place at the weekend and here’s the details send on by Jim Bruce. As you can see there are many SRAC and other familiar faces in the starting line up photo - taken 13.1 miles up the Water of Leith from the docks in Leith!
Many thanks for participating in the Water of Leith half marathon, either as a runner, marshall, starter or goody provider!
Next years race will probably be on Saturday 2nd December 2006, but the date will not be confirmed until next September.
