Club Sessions

Club sessions are being well attended at the moment with a large upsurge in numbers attending of all abilities. As all abilities are catered for at these session why not come along?

Tuesday sessions are at the Smith Avenue track (6.00) and the cost per track session is £3.00 for adults and £1.50 older juniors - u13 and upwards.

Wednesday circuit training in the Lewis Sports Centre (5.30)

Senior Thursday session meeting place is Smith Avenue Changing Rooms (near all-weather football pitch) - these are road runs. All are welcome and be ready for a 5.30pm start and there is no cost.

Jumps and throws sessions are on a Thursday evening at 5.00 in the Lewis Sports Centre. All are welcome to the high jump and throws session but the long jump session is by invite only. However there will be "come and try it" jumps sessions every few weeks - these will be advertised through coaches and on the web site.

Junior Saturday morning session (cost £1.50). Meet for this session at the Porter's Lodge with a prompt 10.30 start - remember to bring kit, drinks, warm clothes etc and that this is a grass/trail session with a focus on XC training!

Visitors are are welcome at all club sessions.

Leisure Running Group

We also have our massively successful leisure running group which was started back in February 2012. The purpose of the group is to allow people to get together, have a bit of a laugh and build up a bit of fitness along the way!

We cater for ALL abilities! Over the months we have developed 'sub training groups' within the group where YOU as the athlete can choose which group you wish to fit into and train with, they range from total beginners who have never ran before and just need a bit of encouragement and other people to run with to a more advanced group that are looking to develop their fitness and maybe work towards a running event!

At the moment we train twice a week, on a Monday at Smith Avenue running track at a cost of £2 per session and on a Friday at the track for a free jog around the town or the Castle Grounds.
