The route begins at the historic Amhuinnsuidhe Castle, heads east along a stunning single track road above the sea loch West Loch Tarbert. The fabulous hills of the North Harris Estate tower above you as you head toward the old Whaling Station at Bunavoneadar (a large chimney is all that you will see of it as you run by), The route then heads south for a loop round the village of Tarbert - this is also where the race finishes but not yet! You now head south for a ciruit of the beautiful "Golden Road" which runs round the northern part of South Harris. After a final long gradual climb up to the high point of the race, the last few miles follow the Harris Half Marathon route back into Tarbert and the finish.
