A fantastic 60 runners completed three race out of
the five - age range was from 17 (Chirsty Macleod) to 80 (Sandy Duncan).
Five runners completed all five races - Finlay Dowell, Hamish Macdonald,
Jim Bruce, Bill Ferguson and Stuart Clarke. Scanning down the times show
that after three races the time differences between places was as little
as four seconds - so I hope you all enjoyed your individual battles.
HBT were once again dominant in both the team races
- their continued support of the series is much welcomed.
The men's race was won by Dave Wright (HBT) in a
total time of 3:46:43, followed by Ian Cullen (Garscube Harriers) and
David Atkin (Garscube Harriers). The male vet prize went to Geoff Simpson
(HBT) and the Super Vet prize to Nick Lancaster (Skye and Lochalsh RC).
The ladies race was won by Isobel Knox (HBT) in a
total time of 4:47:19, followed by Deborah Macdonald (HBT) and Heather
Macintosh (York Acorn). The ladies Vet prize went to Sue Waddicor (SRAC)
and, on the day, the ladies Super Vet prize went to Harris race organiser
Ethel McNally. However, Janice Smith of HBT later owned up to being a
Supervet and claimed her rightful prize!
Many thanks to Jim Bruce for organising the Heb3
and for the the generous assistance given by main sponsor N & C Recruitment
and also by Run & Become.
Could anyone who has completed the Heb3 challenge
but is not shown below please email srac@srac.org.uk
giving their name, club, category and times for races already completed
so that the results can be corrected.
